Our last day was a hike in King’s Canyon and then driving to Alice Springs.  The hike was simply gorgeous with the canyon walls reaching over 100 meters/330 feet tall.  In Alice Springs we had a farewell dinner and the tour was over.  It was such a great time and I met some wonderful people!

This is a very sad day. I had to say good bye to my trust day pack. I’ve had this backpack since 2008 and it’s been all over the world and back with me.  It was getting a ton of little holes that I could ignore, but today it got a hole on the top and because of the way it carries the weight the hole tripled in size within hours.  It was time to say good bye.  🙁

  1. Hi JR –
Look at you!! If I did not know any better (and I don’t) I would think that you were in Arizona at the Grand Canyons! What a beautiful place you have seen. Incrediable. Where to next?
